CHLA SAMPLE TRANSPORTATION GUIDELINES
As of 01/25/10 CHLA has implemented new guidelines for transportation of non-hazardous samples to the DNA Core Facility using the CHLA-USC/HSC shuttle.
First all samples must be enclosed in a sealed medium (vial, tube, or 96-well plate).
Secondly these samples must be placed in hard container such as styrofoam that is watertight/leakproof and then properly sealed with tape.
All packages must be labeled properly with the sender name, PI, lab address, and contact phone, also include DNA Core address. Container must also be labeled as "Non-Hazardous".
There will be sign-in log when dropping off package at the valet. Please make sure to confirm that you have not missed the last shuttle going to USC/HSC.

UPC PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF TIMEAs of 1/04/10 new time for Main Campus Collection pickup service is 10:15 AM. Customers should place their samples in the collection drawer, located in the Mail Room (201B) of the Ray Irani Hall (RRI) -- formerly MCB.
To request a pick up:
Check "Main Campus Pick Up" on the order form and contact us at (323) 865-0541 by 10:15 AM. Pick ups are on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
To request a delivery:
Check "Main Campus Delivery" on the order form. Customers requesting a main campus delivery will have their orders dropped off after 5:00 PM on the Monday, Wednesday, or Friday after completion of the orders. Customers will receive an email when their orders have been completed.
